The Department of Industrial Safety was founded in 1954 under the leadership of Professor A.G. Lutchkin.

Academics

The Department runs Specialist Degree program “Safety of Industrial Processes and Production”. The Program has been designed to prepare students for academic, research and engineering positions in Industrial Safety. Students receive the real world skills for analysis and identification of hazardous exposures on humans and nature, their prevention and response plan.

Research

• biological methods for waste water and industrial gas emission treatment and chemical wastes recovery;
• safety operation analysis of fire explosive and chemical hazardous objects;
• electrochemical apparatuses for preparation of ecologically clean and active water.
