History

The Department was founded in 2010.

Academics

The Department offers the following educational programs:

Bachelor's Degree Program:

• 29.03.02 Technology and Design of Textile Products (Innovative Technologies of Production and Processing of Light Industry Materials).

Master's Degree Program:

• 29.04.02 Technology and Design of Textile Products (Innovative Technologies of Textile-Based Composite Materials).

Research Activities

Research at the Department focuses on the following areas:

• Modification and study of properties of textile materials;
• Development of textile-based composite materials;
• Modification of textile materials of different nature by electrochemical, electrophysical and chemical methods;
• Application of non-equilibrium low-temperature plasma for modification of high-molecular fiber materials;
• Study of the effect of the finishing on the properties of the tapes;
• Antibacterial properties to fibers and fabrics of various nature.

Much research work is applied at the department. The results of it are used in the educational process in the form of lecture materials, laboratory classes, challenging situations.
