The Department of Electrochemical Engineering was founded in 1972. The initiator of the Department creation was the famous scientist Professor G.S. Vozdvizhensky. The first Department Chair was his follower Professor N.V. Gudin.

Academics

The Department offers full and part-time Specialist, Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree programs in the areas of Electrochemical Production Technology. A degree in Electrochemical Engineering opens a broad spectrum of opportunities for students intending to pursue scientific, technical, or professional careers in auto, petrochemical, instrument making, medical and electronic engineering industry.

• metal and alloy electroplating from complex electrolytes with surfactants;
• functional electroplating technology;
• electrochemical methods of monitoring, prediction and protection of constructive materials;
• electrophysical processing of material surface;
• simulation of formation and corrosive destruction of electrochemical metal coatings.
