The Research Institute was founded in 1997. The Institute specializes in synthesis of resin for special use (thiokol, polyurethane, silicone resins and liquid rubbers). Over the years, the Institute attracted scientists with great expirience in resin properties and production. The collaboration with Kazan National Research Technological University enhances intellectual potential and research opportunities of the Institute.

There are three laboratories at the Institute:

• Laboratory of Composite Materials
• Laboratory of Polysulfide Oligomers
• Laboratory of Carbon Chain Polymers

• development of new polysulfide resins;
• synthesis of silicone resins;
• synthesis of silicone resins of high viscosity;
• development of new rubber compounds;
• digestion technology of silicone vulcanized rubber and waste utilization;
• development of polyurethane construction mastics and cold setting adhesives;
• modified catalysts for gas phase polymerization of butadiene;
• new generation of polyester resins;
• synthesis of modified gaseous media.
