A training of “Invent and Create your own Startup” was held in the creative space of KNRTU. It was attended by university lecturers, as well as students who are interested in the topic of technological entrepreneurship.

The event was organized by Guzel Khusainova, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages for Professional Communication, who won a Professional Development Grant Program from the Vladimir Potanin Foundation. The training was conducted by Alexander Smirnov, Head of Siberian State Medical University Startup Studio and Mikhail Gorlach, Senior Tracker of Open Innovations Startup Studio LLC.

On the first day of the training, the lecturers themselves were in the students’ shoes and generated ideas. On the second day, interested students joined in.

According to Gulnaz Musina, a PhD Student and Assistant at the Department of Foreign Languages for Professional Communication, said that the training is a great opportunity for lecturers to acquire skills in startup development and to share their experience to students.

The participants of the training course also received a Certificate of Advanced Training on the topic of “Invent and Create your own Startup”.

The training was conducted within the framework of the Guzel Khusainova’s project of “Development of Innovative Competencies of KNRTU Lecturers for Teaching Students Technological Entrepreneurship”.

“The program has ready-made templates and matrixes (table of calculation of unit-economy, table of calculation of financial flows and payback and etc.), which can be used and shared with other lecturers of KNRTU”, - explained Guzel Khusainova.
