On December 13, the university held a bright event called Day of Acquaintances with the participation of international students of the Faculty of International Educational Programs (Preparatory Faculty) of KNRTU. In the Round Hall of Building A, students from more than 25 countries talked about themselves, their country and culture, and what profession they want to study in Russia. They sang songs, performed folk dances and played musical instruments.

The students presented themselves and their countries in groups - the teachers of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language helped the students to prepare well: even those who had arrived just recently, spoke Russian diligently, showed hand-drawn flags of their countries and demonstrated videos filmed in their homelands.

Angolan rap, Cuban, Turkmen, Azerbaijani, African dances, violin canon, anthems of different countries, Russian song about friendship - the multinational audience (there are more than 140 students at the sub-faculty) loudly applauded, sang and even danced with their new friends from Syria, Vietnam, Angola, Zambia, Sudan, Bolivia, Uganda, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Cuba and many other countries.

"I love Russia, I really like Kazan and KNRTU", "Russia is cold but beautiful!", these sincere words have been spoken many times that day.

“It is great that the tradition of the Day of Acquaintances, established in our university 20 years ago, has continued today. Our geography is growing, this year we have students from more than 30 countries, for example, for the first time we welcome students from Mali, Burundi. Yes, our winter is cold, but the people are hot!", said Dean of the Faculty of International Educational Programs Andrey Vasilyev.
