On December 15th, the final event of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN was completed in Moscow. An entertaining program was prepared for 400 finalists: interactive and career zones from the partner companies ALROSA, SIBUR and RosStroyKontrol, workshops for informal networking with industry experts, final project presentations and award ceremony.

KNRTU submitted 8 applications from student teams, which solved the case of the qualifying round from SIBUR. “Young Specialists” and “Initiators” teams qualified for the semi-finals. The “Initiators” team was invited to the final with the following team members: Airat Kasimov, Timur Parsadanyan (Department of General Organic and Petrochemical Synthesis Technology named after Prof. G.Kamai), Svyatoslav Klementiev (Department of Industrial Biotechnology) and the team mentor – Fauziya Garieva, Associate Professor of the Department of General Organic and Petrochemical Synthesis Technology named after Prof. G.Kamai.

According to the results of the competition, KNRTU team’s solution was highly appreciated by the expert committee and was included in the Top 6 solutions for the case “Leaders of Transformation” from ALROSA.

The new main season of the championship will start in February 2024, including the qualifying stages in the areas of “Petrochemistry” and “Project Engineering” which will be held on the basis of KNRTU.
