The title of the startup and diploma of Adelya Khairova, a graduate of the KNRTU Institute of Light Industry, Fashion and Design, is the “Design of Garment Production Facility for the Manufacturing of Children’s Clothing Using the Traditions of Tatar Costume”.

Recently she defended her thesis for the members of the State Examination Committee. Her supervisor is Lucia Khisamieva, Associate Professor of the Department of Light Industry Technology and Materials.

Large-scale events related to the preservation and development of national traditions are held in the Republic of Tatarstan, and the demand for modern clothing, including children's clothing, with the elements of national culture is constantly growing.

“We have developed a collection of children’s clothing with national patterns and design quotes. Our product can be used at the maternity discharge ceremony, at national holidays (Sabantui, Republic Day and Eid al-Adha, etc.), as well as at family celebrations,” says Adelya.

Currently, Adelya has already developed author’s prints with the national ornaments and patterns for printed fabrics, designs for machine embroidery with national heroes of Tatar fairy tales.

“I believe that such clothes will make a positive contribution to the process of familiarizing with ethnic values from childhood,” comments Adelya.
