At the last board meeting of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan the winners of the “Innovation of the Year” Contest in the “Prospect” nomination were awarded. The best of the best were honored by Rifkat Minnikhanov, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan. Polina Babkina, Arina Popova and Darya Zhilyakova, students of the graduating “Gazprom Class” of the Boarding School for Talented Children with Advanced Study in Chemistry at KNRTU, were among the youngest winners of the contest.

Polina Babkina presented the project “Computer Modeling of Natural Gas Purification and Drying Process”, and Daria Zhilyakova with Arina Popova presented the project “Dispersants for Liquidation of Gas Condensate Spills”. Both projects were carried out under the guidance of professors of the Department of Chemical Technology of Petroleum and Gas Processing and Department of General Organic and Petrochemical Synthesis Technology named after Prof. G. Kamai.

The winners of the contest “Innovation of the Year” will receive grants of 100 thousand rubles and an opportunity to present their projects to a bigger audience at key technological events, including the Russian Venture Forum 2025.
