MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS Ksenia A. Romanova is an expert in fundamental issues of physical and theoretical chemistry. She studies lanthanide-containing liquid crystals, semiconductor quantum dots and conjugated polymers by means of computational chemistry (DFT, TDDFT, CASSCF, XMCQDPT, MD, etc.). Performs theoretical simulation of the structure and physico-chemical properties of chemical compounds and hybrid functional materials for their further application in optoelectronics and biomedicine. She took part in more than 15 grants and scientific projects, including as the head of grants from the Russian Science Foundation (2018-2020) and Russian Foundation for Basic Research (2018-2020), the grant of the President of the Russian Federation (2016-2017), the grant of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan "Algarysh" (2018) for scientific internships, the European Union grant "Erasmus+" for the development of new educational programs for undergraduates and postgraduates of natural sciences (2019-2021), the grant for teachers of Master's programmes from Vladimir Potanin Foundation (2021), etc. Nominee of the young scientists competition for the Arbuzov Prize (2014) for outstanding research in the field of organic and organoelement chemistry. She authored over 40 papers in peer-refereed academic journals, 20 educational and methodological works. Scientific and educational internships: 2013 – University of Leuven (Belgium); 2014 – University of Paderborn (Germany); 2015, 2019 – Jagiellonian University, Krakow (Poland); 2016 – University of Stuttgart (Germany); 2017 – Tokyo Telecommunication University (Japan); 2018 – Munich Technical University (Germany).
