The Department of General Organic and Petrochemical Synthesis Technology was established in 1946 under the leadership of outstanding scientist Galiaskar H. Kamay.

Academics

The Department offers full and part-time Specialist Degree program “Chemical Technology of Organic Substances”. The program is intended for those who wish to investigate the causes of organic and petrochemical synthesis, surfactants and syndets technologies and fine organic synthesis. Postgraduate and postdoctoral programs are offered in technology of organic substances, organic chemistry, chemistry of element organic compounds and petrochemistry.

Research:

• chemistry of organic arsenic compounds;
• macrocyclic systems with high complexion and stabilization properties;
• solvent technology of crude oil refinery;
• organic lithium additives for hydrocarbon fuels.
