The Department of General Chemical Technology was created in 1933 under the leadership of Associate Professor V.P. Vinogradov. Since 1990 Department Chair has been Full Professor Kharlampiy E. Kharlampidi.

Academics

The Department provides a wide range of research opportunities to students at both graduate and undergraduate levels. The Department runs courses for Specialist Degree program “General Chemical Technology Processes and Chemical Cybernetics”. The program develops students’ abilities to recognize and formulate significant research and industrial problems of chemical and petrochemical technological processes.

Research

• new high technologies in petroleum chemistry;
• chemistry and engineering of monomers for production of plastics, rubber, leach, flotation and plasticizing agents.

Research results are intensively introduced in technological processes of petrochemical industry of the Tatarstan Republic.
