The Department of Inorganic Chemistry was founded in 1930 on the basis of the same Department of Kazan State University. Full Professor A.Y. Bogorotsky was the first Department Chair. Today Department Chair is Full Professor A.M. Kuznetsov.

Academics The Department provides courses in general chemistry and inorganic chemistry for all students of the University. Chemistry opens opportunities for chemical engineering, food chemistry, environmental chemistry and beyond.

• quantum theory of adsorption and charge transfer at the interphase boundaries;
