KNRTU held a meeting with Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan to discuss the possibility of collaboration. Delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan consisted of Yuliya A. Sivaldayeva, a coordinator of Strategic Projects of the Leading Universities of Azerbaijan (State Agency for Science and Higher Education).

She met with Marina V. Galimzyanova, Acting Head of International Affairs, and Prof. Gulnaz G. Lutfullina, Head of Department of Education. They presented KNRTU, talked about the achievement and future plans of the university. Yuliya A. Sivaldayeva was interested in petrochemical field. She stated that a lot of Azerbaijan universities are open to collaborations and are ready to carry out joint projects in this field.

Both parties agreed to continue finding ways of collaboration.

Prof.Gulnaz G. Lutfullina commented, “This meeting was the first step in the collaborative direction with universities of Azerbaijan. We have the contacts of the universities we can reach out to for the possibility of collaboration. I think we should rely on each other’s strengths and, hopefully in the future we will have partners in Baku and in other Azerbaijan cities.”
