The “Miras-KNRTU” women’s team has won the Winter Soccer Championship. The final stage games were at the “Maksat” soccer arena, with Karina Smetankina as the team’s coach.

According to the results of all the games – “Miras” and “Maksat” – each scored 6 points. However, based on the result of the head-to-head match, which was won by “Miras”, it was they who became the tournament champions. The bronze medal went to the players of Nizhnekamsk’s “Neftekhimik” team, and the fourth place was taken by “Stroitel” team from Naberezhnye Chelny.

“Victories are never easy. You always have to put in the effort, sometimes even going beyond your limits. We didn’t suffer a single defeat in the group stage, but the final stage was more challenging. During the games it was nerve-wracking and intense: the girls fought until the very end and no one wanted to lose. I thank the team for their support, dedication and determination to win,” said Julia Lyukina (Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology)

As a result, in the previous season, the KNRTU women’s soccer team set a high bar for performance:
- Champions of the Republic of Tatarstan in women’s soccer;
- Winners of the Republic of Tatarstan Cup among women’s teams;
- Winners of the Volga Federal District Women’s Football Championship (I League);
- Winners of the All-Russian Festival of Mass Football;
- Silver medalists in the Russian University Championship finals.
