Belarusian Open Athletics Championship ended in Brest on the basis of the Brest regional sports complex on July 25. Russian athletes took part in the competition. On the final day of the tournament, 19 sets of awards were awarded among track and field athletes.

KNRTU student Danil Chechela (IPPBT), as part of the Russian national team, won the long jump with a result of 7.74 m.

"I can say that winning is always good. This is my first time in Brest, and the organization of the competition was at a good level. The competition was felt and it is always pleasant to show results in a circle of worthy people. There are both Russian athletes and Belarusian friends here. We are waiting for the next competition! We're getting ready, we're training!", – said Danil.
