On September 26, the athletics cross-country sports contest of the Republic of Tatarstan Universities took place at the Lokomotiv stadium in the village of Yudino. The KNRTU team took the third place in the team competition, and our students showed the following results in the individual competition:

— Vyacheslav Krasnoperov took first prize in the 5 km run among young men;

— Maria Vasilyeva won the bronze medal in the girls' 3 km race.

The team was prepared by coaches and professors of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of KNRTU Alexander Petrov and Ekaterina Danilova.

"I am glad that I brought the bronze medal to our university, as the competition was very high. I'm not completely satisfied with the competition, because I'm a maximalist, I wanted to win and be the first. It turned out that the preparation for the competition was related to another sport. I'm a skier myself, so in the summer I went to training camps, where there were two classes a day and exercises. We ran a lot, rode roller skis, and developed general physical endurance. The atmosphere at the cross-country was great, our KNRTU team is always positive, the guys are wonderful!", - Maria Vasilyeva shared her impressions of the competition.
