A striking demonstration of our students’ creative potential was the display of the collection of the Institute of Light Industry Technology, Fashion and Design of KNRTU called “Book Binding”. The idea of the collection of oversized suits, made in a burgundy-blue color scheme with the logo of KNRTU, is a reminder of the importance of books and studies in our lives.

The collection was presented at the general display of branded clothing of Tatarstan universities, held at the Kazan Expo exhibition center. The team from KNRTU demonstrated a real student enthusiasm, energy, good taste, and creativity embodied in our university's merchandise, which is designed in burgundy tones.

As a reminder, the "Book Binding" collection was created at the beginning of the academic year and is a symbolic representation of the image of a book and knowledge in the minds of its creators. "We were inspired by the preppy style. This is a style of clothing that originated from the uniforms of students at prestigious private schools that prepare them for admission to elite higher education institutions. The collection plays with the images of cells and their combinations, creating dynamic and vibrant visual solutions. The clear lines and concise silhouettes convey the idea of order and systematicity in learning. In the new collection, we wanted to show that learning is not only a process, but also a creative endeavor! Everyone will find their own idea, their own pattern, and their own color in it – everything that makes student life bright, interesting, and memorable!”.

The collection was designed by Svetlana Ruchkina, the head of the Style design school. The models featured elements of old denim clothing and recycled materials, which support the trend towards sustainability and a modern approach to design.
