The awarding ceremony of the city's competition "Model of the Kazan City Duma" took place, in which our students participated. The project is being implemented with the support of the Kazan City Duma, the Youth Parliament, and the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs in Kazan. Its goal is to involve young people in the public life of Kazan and identify socially significant projects and initiatives.

The first stage of the competition was educational, where participants learned about the structure of local self-government, the regulations of the City Duma, and the methodology for drafting municipal acts.

In the second stage, the participants defended their socially significant projects at a meeting of the Youth Parliament at the Kazan City Duma. A total of 9 projects were presented, each of which was finalized in collaboration with the deputies. As a result of the defense, KNRTU students won first and second place in the competition:

1st place – Rita Nurzai with the project "Springboard". It aims to address the issue of adaptation and resocialization of adolescents at risk, as well as those already serving sentences.

2nd place – Vyacheslav Ariskin with the project “On the introduction of resident parking permits for residents”. The project involves the creation of a resident pass for city residents, allowing them to use paid parking lots near their homes at a reduced rate. “I have paid attention to those aspects of life that are often overlooked, as everyone is preoccupied with themselves,” Rita shared her impressions.

Ariskin Vyacheslav noted that students should not be afraid to try new things, participate in such competitions, and propose their ideas, as many of them may have a chance to be realized.
